Business Continuity Management
– An overview of the key aspects
of developing, implementing and auditing a Business Continuity
Management plan. The presentation will include how to address
critical resources and identify critical needs. It will
survey changes in the BCM environment since 9/11, and it will
provide some perspective on the Business Continuity Management
planning process.
2)
IT Due Diligence Process
– How to perform and document an IT due diligence audit.
Particular attention will be paid to third party relationships
and outsourced components of the auditee's infrastructure.
The presentation will use examples from case studies, and we will
try to identify those areas that carry greatest risk and those
that can contain surprises to the organization performing the
audit.

Presenters
Lou
Porres - Lou is
an Engagement Manager at Jefferson Wells with a comprehensive
background in IT support and management including operational
management of LAN/WAN infrastructures, information security, preparation
and management of project plans, departmental budgets, management
of technical staff, evaluation of new technologies and development
and assessment of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning.
He has over 14 years experience in the industry. Lou holds a Bachelor
degree in Computer Science from Rutgers
University
and is certified Associate
Business Continuity Planner.
Neal
Kirschner - Neal
is an Engagement Manager at Jefferson Wells who has 12 years of
IT audit experience. Prior to joining Jefferson Wells, he
worked on audits around the world as an Audit Manager for
a National Financial Institution, specializing in risk management,
controls assessment and compliance audits. Since joining
Jefferson Wells, he has led a number of IT controls audits, Sarbanes-Oxley
audits, and SAS-70 audits. Neal is a CISSP, and has a background
in security, as well.
Eric
Hodge - Eric has
been an IT professional for 10 years, with extensive experience
in security and network infrastructure. While he has performed
network implementations, reviews and assessments for clients in
a wide variety of industries, he has particular familiarity with
entertainment and media, financial services, and health care.
He is an experienced team leader and has developed national engagement
strategies for a Big Five consulting firm. He is a contributing
author to a book about wireless security. He is also a CISSP,
MCSE, CCSA, and CCNA.
