ISACA New York Metropolitan Chapter
"Realigning our Chapter Activities to
Achieve Higher Levels of Success"
GUIDELINES
ATTENDANCE TO THE CHAPTER EVENTS
Purpose:
The purpose of these guidelines is to define a fair process around who may attend our Chapter's workshops and seminars AT NO CHARGE OR AT A SUBSTANTIAL REDUCED COST.

Current Board Members and all Past Presidents are invited to attend any of our NY Chapter Education Events AT NO CHARGE, IF THE PERSON IS HANDLING THE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF EDUCATION, MANAGING THE EVENT (EVENT CHAIRPERSON), OR HANDLING THE REGISTRATION. Approval must be obtain , in advance, from the President.

Otherwise, attendance cost can be substantially reduced (charge of the food per person), when all of the following conditions are met:

The requestor does not take a full paying attendee's seat, when seats are limited and the session is sold out.
The Education Event Chairperson (EEC) must be contacted no sooner than 48 hours prior to the start of the session to place the requestor on "stand-by" status.
The EEC must log each requestor as calls are received. In case free seats are limited, they will be filled in sequential order.
As our sessions usually have last minute walk-ins, the requestor will remain on "stand-by" until the session actually begins. At that time, it will be the sole decision of the EEC to permit or deny entrance. Every possible accommodation will be made; however, the EEC has the final word.
It is solely the requestor's risk and responsibility to show-up the day of the session. There can be no guarantees of admission prior to the actual start of the session.
The individual complies with monthly Board meeting attendance guidelines.
For all other types of events (i.e. June Gala, December President's Reception, etc.) and/or for all other individuals attending any of our Chapter educational events at no charge, even those sponsored by a current Board Member or Past President, must be Board approved. This includes student attendees.
